Shadow Removal

    Video [.avi MPEG-4 codec V2]

Flash/No-flash Image Pairs

Sunlight produces a shadow.

Flash removes part of the shadow.

The difference, (Both-Ambient)== Pure_Flash_Image
has no ambient-shadow, but has added flash-shadows.

Copying edges inside ambient-shadow, from pure-flash image into ambient image, removes all shadows.

Shadow-Resistant Tracking

Detecting Illumination in Images (Chromagenic Images)

Two images are taken of each scene: a normal one and one with a filter placed in front of the camera.

Results.

Specularity and Shadow Interpolation

Multiple images are taken from
a fixed viewpoint, different lights (HP idea).

Generate new, interpolated image for non-measured,
new, lighting direction (note: this is non-trivial!).
