Hello
Since for question 1 of assignment 2 you may need to make changes to the
configuration of the network it is important that you undo those changes after
your tests so others have a working network.
Because invariably someone forgets or is unable to restore the network to its
original state it is important the the network be reset periodically. Each
morning at 2AM the virtual network connected to cs-vnl-e01 (where you may be
making changes) will be reimaged and restarted. Please make sure you have
copied any files you wish to save to your account on cs-vnl-e01 before 2AM
because the reimaging will erase all personal files on the machines within the
network.
If you are unable to restore the network you may be able to fix the problem by
just restarting the machine using the cs console (see the csil webpages for
instructions) or send me an email. I will be checking twice a day for messages
informing me that the network needs attention
