Graduate admissions

The School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University (SFU) welcomes qualified applicants to apply to the M.Sc. (thesis-based, project-based, or course-based) and Ph.D. programs.

In addition to the regular M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs offered at SFU, we also feature a unique graduate dual-degree program (GDDP) jointly offered with Zhejiang University, China. New in 2013, we have launched a graduate coop program, which may be of particular interest to perspective students wishing to enter our course- or project-based M.Sc. programs. Please refer to the academic program page for more details on this and other programs.

Financial support is provided to Ph.D. and M.Sc. thesis students, in the form of research assistantships (RA), teaching assistantships (TA), SFU graduate fellowships and/or FAS (Faculty of Applied Sciences) fellowships, and industrial internships. Exceptional applicants will be considered for various entrance scholarships. Current or perspective students are all encouraged to apply for external and internal scholarships available to them.

All applicants should apply on-line through the Dean of Graduate Studies on-line application site. More details include application deadlines and procedures can be found on How to Apply.
