Research Interests

I investigate computational models of visual perception, models of colour perception in particular. One important aspect of colour perception under study is 'colour constancy' which involves our ability to see a surface as having the same colour independent of variations in the colour of the light illuminating it. My research on colour is leading to better colour fidelity in digital cameras and more accurate colours rendition on colour computer printers.
