Minor in Computing Science
The Minor provides students with a solid understanding of computer science and programming principles. Current SFU students may complete a Minor in Computing Science by taking a fifth course in each semester, or by taking additional semesters of study.
Admission to a minor in computing science is open to all current Simon Fraser University students with a major in a discipline other than Computing Science. Admission is competitive and requires the completion of the lower division courses listed below. The admission GPA is established each semester, and will never be less than 2.40.
Students wishing to change their designation from Minor to one of the Major or Joint Major programs should set up an appointment with a Computing Science Advisor.
Admission
Students are required to complete three of the lower division requirements prior to applying.
