I am currently serving as the Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society International Bioinformatics and Bioengineering Technical Committee BBTC

I have been on the Organizing Committee for the IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology for 2005 and 2006 (CIBCB'06) and will serve as a Technical Co-Chair for CIBCB'07 .

I also serve as Co-Chair of a Special Session on Evolutionary Computation in Bioinformatics at WCCI'06 , where I am also presenting an invited tutorial on Evolutionary Computation in Bioinformatics.
